Wes Armbruster - Distance
Coach Wes Armbruster is the Head Girls Cross Country and Track Coach at Festus High School in Missouri. During his seven years leading the track program, his teams have won four consecutive conference championships and four consecutive district championships. In 2025, Festus advanced 13 events to the state meet, scoring in 10 of them on the way to the State Championship title.Wes recently completed his third season as the head coach of the girls cross country team. Under his leadership, the Festus girls have earned three podium finishes in three years, including back-to-back State Championships in 2024 and 2025. Coach Armbruster’s coaching honors include MTCCCA Cross Country Coach of the Year (2024 & 2025), MTCCCA Track and Field Coach of the Year (2025), KTJJ Dream Team Coach of the Year (five times between track and cross country), and the 2025 USTFCCCA Missouri Girls Track Coach of the Year.
Rachael Steil - Nutrition
Rachael Steil (“Style”) is an author, cross country/track coach, and nationally recognized speaker. Her book Running in Silence, which details her experience with an eating disorder as an NAIA All-American runner, challenges the stigma of eating disorders, looks past appearance, and dives into the heart of obsession. Steil was the recipient of the 2021 Aquinas College Outstanding Young Alumni and Kirsten Haglund Foundation Advocacy awards for her work with starting and managing the Running in Silence 501c3. She has presented at conferences and schools all around the country with honest, inspirational stories from her time as an athlete and coach to empower the athletic community to address disordered eating in sports. Steil has appeared on The Dr. Nandi Show, WGVU’s Family Health Matters, in Vogue Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, Women’s Running, and has written for Runner’s World and Techniques magazine. Reviewed as a forthright, relatable speaker, Steil offers coaches, parents, students, and athletes the tools to help athletes reach their potential in sport and in life.
Coach Montavius Coleman - Throws
Montavius Coleman is the Head Girls Track & Field Coach and Throws Specialist at Southwest DeKalb High School. A former championship thrower at Southwest DeKalb (Class of 2015) and Morehouse College (Class of 2020), Coleman brings over a decade of competitive and coaching experience to the sport. He began coaching in 2019 as an AAU Club Throws Coach before returning to his alma mater in 2020 as the Throws Coach, where he helped build one of Georgia’s most competitive throws groups. Coleman also advanced the school’s performance program serving as Assistant Strength Coach (2020) and later Head Strength Coach for Football and Track & Field (2021). Coleman expanded his expertise through collegiate strength & conditioning internships at Georgia State University and Georgia Tech in 2021, gaining hands-on experience with Division I training methodology. In 2023, he was named Head Coach of the Southwest DeKalb Girls Track & Field Program, leading the team with technical precision, structure, and a championship mindset. Coach Coleman is passionate about developing complete athletes combining biomechanics, strength training, and event-specific technique to help throwers excel at the highest levels.

Davin Bryant - Hurdles & Sprints
Davin Bryant ran track at Buford High School (2016-2019). Davin had the privilege of being a 4 year letterman and receiving the Teamwork and Leadership Award. After High school he attended University of West Georgia to play football. After college he transitioned to coaching which led him back to the sport of track and field.. He has 3 years of experience coaching which includes Track and Field at Carrollton High School (Hurdles and Sprints) and seeing the boys team win the GHSA 6A State Championship in 2024. Coach Bryant is entering his 2nd year at Buford High School coming off a GHSA 6A State Championship this past spring with the privilege of coaching Hurdles & Sprints.
